Ruth creates exquisite hand-crafted jewelry from the finest gems, minerals and metals.
She makes her home in Lake Arrowhead. Ruth started by playing with beads which she has always enjoyed. "Then" she said, "I had the opportunity to learn to make fused glass with Mary Riggs at the UCLA Conference Center." Where Woods herself later taught.

She is now trying to do some mixed metal work - copper, silver and gold - as part of her ongoing learning process. "I love looking at books and getting new ideas," Woods said. She is now being helped in the design process by her son, Lance Winn. "When designing jewelry" Woods added, "you have to fit it to your own market. I get a lot of stuff in front of me and play with it."

After getting inquiries from many customers, Woods is hoping to soon be able to offer glass classes at her Lake Arrowhead home.
