Artists Invited to Paint Plein Aire in the
Edward-Dean Museum's Gardens

You are Cordially Invited: Sundays, July 13 & July 20, 2008 are specifically set to invite all who wish to paint on the grounds and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of ponds, trees, lawns, birds, wild life and statuary. Bring a picnic and watch the artists paint.
The Museum encourages artists to enjoy creating your art on the grounds of the Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens. Find a shady spot and enjoy.

Island Get-Away - Hummingbird-Ferne Sirois - You are cordially invited to the opening of Island Get-Away. Hummingbird-Ferne Sirois. She began her art at the age of five, in painting, murals and the performing arts. Do come and join us. The exhibition continues through August 1, 2008.

Poetry Writer's Workshop at the Mountain Arts Gallery
Beginning April 23rd, Every 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm. Hosted by the Mountain Arts Network. Come join us for in-depth discussions and peer critiques on your poetry. For beginners and experienced writers alike! We will also host a coffeehouse-style poetry reading in the fall for all of our writers and their families and friends. Watercolor Classes are now being offered! Weekly classes will start this summer and are designed for the beginner. Darlene Kraft is an accomplished watercolorist with a background in professional photography and calligraphy. Darlene's watercolor studio is located in Lake Arrowhead. The Legend's claim to fame is that Mountain Arts Network Member KATE WINCHELL is the ILLUSTRATOR, and it is a superb showcase for her work. 

"The Legend of Douglas Fir" is a "Children's Adventure Book" and is 32 pages, 8.5" x 11", saddle-stitch binding, full-color interior ink. This paperback book is $9.33 but the introductory price may soon be increased. Mountain Arts Network has contacted the author to see if we can arrange a book signing at the MAN Gallery - Check back here for updated information on when that book signing will be.

Co-op gallery in Sky Forest - Mountain Arts Network is accepting members in their co-op gallery in the Historic Willow Woods, 28561 Highway 18, in Sky Forest. The gallery is at street level, next to Arturo's mexican restaurant. If you have any questions and want to join the co-op we can make arrangements by telephone.
