Kara O'Brien

In 2004, I graduated from Cal. State University. My artwork is an outward expression of creative exploration focusing on the uses of different media. The collection of work was designed to stimulate imagination, emotions and calmness. The use of strong highlights and shadows are used enhance the fullness of the painting. Artists that captivate me the most are Caravaggio, Vermeer, Leonardo, and Alma-Tadema. Leonardo da Vinci said,"Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art."
