My artwork is as eclectic as my personal taste. I have been influenced by everyone from George Ohr in the Arts and Crafts movement to Moes Tolliver and many of the other current outsider and folk artist. I am hopeful that my artwork reflects this. I work in ceramics, metal, and various forms of assemblage using found objects and organic material. From clay to metal - kilns to forges - the process continues to challenge and excite my creativity. |

My inside studio consists of a slab roller, 10 foot work and assembly table, drying racks, kiln, clay, and loads of storage for all the found objects I work with. These items come from thrift stores, construction sites, estate sales, and even the trash. I am always amazed at what versatile objects people toss away. I move my work area outside to use the welder and forge for the crosses. |
