Joan Rovan

Joan Rovan is an illustrator and graphic designer with her Masters of Arts degree in Illustration from California State University, Fullerton. "Patches the Cow-Cat" is her first published book, with a sequel on the way. Her true passion lies in llustration with her favorite subjects being cats and small animals. The whimsical and bright environments that she paints for her characters show her love of texture, shape and color. She has had two of her illustrations accepted into the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (SILA). Also enjoying creative success in her work as a professional graphic designer, Joan has received numerous regional and national awards over the past 10 years for her work. She lives in the local mountains of Southern California with her two cats, Rosie and Graybear.
