The Little African Girl is just that. I met her in Namibia along with her brothers and other children. She struck me as very pretty little girl and was
very intrested in the camera as most children are. This was a very impoverished area yet they all seemed happy. The painting is in acrylic.

The Oklahoma Cardinal is one thing I miss here. This one is captured with some unique display of shadows and a curious look as he cocked his head
to have a better view of his surroundings. The painting is in oil

The Winter Snooze was inspired by studying a particular color set by Jerry Yarnell, a noted Oklahoma Artist. Coming from Oklahoma, I chose the
Native American setting. The painting is in oil.

I have studied painting for sixty years and have a minor in art from Southwester State University. We have recently arrived from Oklahoma to live in the Lake Arrowhead area as permanant residents. My inspirations in varied media come from Mike Wimmer, Robert Flowers, Gerald Cournoyer all of which I have studied with at various time.
