KELLY PAJAK, BIO/STATEMENT
As a child growing up in rural Alaska, I acquired a lasting fascination with the "Magick" of Mother Nature. Sadly, we moved away, but never having lost that appreciation. After four decades had passed, the impetus to awaken that "Magick" occurred. My fiancé, having been raised in the small, veiled town of Running Springs, urged we stay, and make it our home. A little known, humble community, nestled in Southern Californias' San Bernardino National Forest. Boasting vistas from the altitude of 6000 ft. above sea level, offering grandiose scenes of the valley below, with Los Angeles 50 plus miles to the west, majestically revealing the Pacific Ocean.
In addition, the Mountain itself, teaming with flora and fauna, supported by fresh springs and waterways, all being framed by the ageless rocks and formations towering upwards of 11,000 ft. above the sea. This magnificent setting being timed by the four distinct seasons, and tales describing a rich history, which became the catalyst for my awakening….…Reaching out, capturing that moment. Hoping to impart my own "Minds Eye", through a mere glimpse of time, sharing that "Mountain Magick".
