VICTORIA LAVERS, BIO/STATEMENT
After studying fine art at El Camino Community College and UCLA I spent more than ten years managing a large art supply and framing store while I developed my personal style and expertise as an artist. Then I returned to academia and studied computer graphics at Long Beach State University.
In my first job as a graphic designer, I became the “art department” for an architectural firm. My marriage led me to relocate in the San Bernardino Mountains, where I worked for several small design agencies before going on my own in Lake Arrowhead.
I have designed a full Big Bear tour book every year for the last eight years. As one of the founding members of Mountain Arts Network, you can see my watercolors and mixed media paintings in the gallery. I also do most of the branding (logos, signs, letterheads, flyers, banners etc.) for MAN as well as small companies local and in the Santa Ana area. I love art and design and I find doing computer graphics and my paintings both a challenge and an inspiration. I find both processes very enjoyable.
