I surveyed the group and the three top interests are "Nature/Landscapes", "Nature/Wildlife", and "People/Family/Friends".

We have decided to do the following activities:

The meetings will feature a guest speaker or a video on a different topic each month.

Each moth there will be a project that we will do on our own and bring back three images to show at the meeting. This month it is "My favorite Place on the Mountain".

There will be a featured photographer each month who will have 10 minutes to share a small group of his or her images and talk about their artistic focus. Kelly Pajak will be the "Featured Photographer" for September.

The meeting will conclude with a roundtable discussion open to the group.

There will be a small door prize, a flash drive, chip reader, etc.

Starting with the next meeting we will schedule an outing where we will go somewhere and shoot together. The results will be combined in a slide show and shared with the group.

I am starting a Facebook page for the group to share ideas.

Everyone thought we should eventually have a website. (Linked to the MAN site)

Everyone liked the idea of the Christmas community service project of taking family portraits for people who can't afford them.

We also talked about contests and shows for the future .

We agreed on monthly dues of $10.00 with 20% going to MAN.

The meeting ended with a 10 minute 'National Geographic Live" interview video.
