Monika is a native of Germany. She came to the United States in 1988 and married her husband in 1990. She grew up with a passion for Design and Painting. She moved to the mountains in 1999 and used her free time to become involved with glass painting and home decor. She eventually became involved with canvas painting with acrylic and was self taught early on. To better understand color schemes, she took lessons from Helga Batman and became involved with oil painting which she most enjoys. Her paintings are multi faceted, involving landscapes, sea and lakescapes, as well as still life and animals. She is currently widening her skills with lessons in water colors.
Monika has shown her works at some of the local art festivals, and is a member of "Plein Air Artists of Riverside"--(PAAR).
